All about Covid 19 vaccines

 We all know about corona virus, no need for special introduction. its been a year since its first existence, from then it has spread in world causing millions of people sick and even death also.

so from its first outbreak, scientists are finding potential ways to develop a medicine or a vaccine to block its spreading and to kill it for the good of mankind. so scientists around the world had worked very hardly and found some vaccines to cure the novel corona virus. they are also working on some other methods like creating tablets e.t.c, but there all are in still progress only. the only weapon the mankind has in its hand is the Vaccine it self. so, to get our immunity boosted to spread the virus, vaccination is must and it is the only possible way for us right. 

 

So lets dive in a know about the vaccines that are available in the world right now.......

The list of vaccines (bases on their development) that are available in the world are:

1. RNA and DNA Vaccines : a genetically developed / engineered RNA or DNA to generate a protein that itself prompts an immune response.
2. protein based vaccines : uses fragments of proteins / shells which are harmless. this will mimic the COVID-19 virus to produce a great immune response
3. Inactivated or weakened virus vaccine : this uses a form of the virus that has been inactivated / weakened and its generate great immune response without causing any disease
4. Viral vector vaccines: this contains a safe virus, which triggers the immune response do defend the corona virus. the safe virus used in this vaccines are harmful and does not cause any diseases

in all these vaccines only johnson & johnson contains one dose, all other vaccines has two doses.

as these Covid-19 vaccines are strong and safe to protect us against the novel corona virus, there are also side effects of these vaccines. But why do these occur, is there any bad thing happening??? 

 

Side effects of Covid Vaccine:

No, Absolutely nothing bad happening says the WHO. Vaccines are designed to give you the immunity without causing any major illness or diseases occurring to our body. it is common to have some side effects raging from mild to moderate. this is because, our immune system is telling our body to react in certain ways, like increasing our blood flow, so more immune cells can circulate and it raises our body temperature to kill the virus. these side effects will go away within a few days in their on own. the side effects include...

• pain at injection site
• fever
• fatigue
• headache
• muscle pain
• chills
• diarrhoea
  

 one most important thing to be kept in mind that "Covid 19 vaccines protect us against SARS-CoV-2 virus only. so we have to keep ourselves in healthy and well"

 

How these vaccines works:

If we observe carefully, the development of all the vaccines are based on introducing harmless virus into our body which replicates the corona virus and increasing the immune system in our body to find the covid 19. the immune system in our body which protect us from any disease or any virus. 

in our immune system there are different types of white blood cells called, Macrophages, B-lymphocytes, T-lymphocytes.

 B-lymphocytes and T-lymphocytes have memory cells. they will remember the germs in which they have killed. in case the same germs enters the body, these white blood cells know how to kill them, so they will do it quickly.

the vaccines also do's the same thing by giving the memory to these white blood cells. so they will know how to fight with the corona virus when it enters our body

Myth about the corona vaccines:

there is a myth that, taking corona vaccine stops the virus entering our body, saying that no need of mask or sanitization

Ans: No, the corona vaccine does not prevent the virus entering our body. but gives us the strength to fight the virus and to kill the virus. so it is very important that, after the vaccination also we have to wear a mask and we have to sanitize ourselves regularly

in almost all the countries vaccinations drives have been started. countries like Israel has successfully removed the corona virus from their country. so wear a mask....sanitize yourselves.....keep social distance......be safe
