what is coronavirus:  it is also called as "COVID-19", in which "COVI" means coronavirus and "D" means disease. the coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that causes illness or weakness to both animals or humans. these viruses are mainly known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to severe diseases like Middle East Respiratory Syndrome(MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS). the COVID-19 is the recently discovered disease in china

symptoms: the most common symptoms of this virus are,

• fever
• tiredness
• dry cough and some may have
• aches and pains
• nasal congestion
• runny nose
• sore throat or diarrhea

how does COVID-19 spread: studies to date suggest that the virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through contact with respiratory droplets rather than through the air. so if a person comes in to contact with the small droplets from the nose or mouth of the affected person, he/she also gets the virus.

Do we have to worry about COVID-19?: illness due to COVID-19 infection is generally mild, especially for children and young adults. however, it can cause severe illness too. about 1 in 5 people who catch it need hospital care. it is therefore quite normal for people to worry about how the COVID-19 will affect them. some people will be infected but don't develop any symptoms and don't feel unwell. most people (about 80%) recover from the disease without needing special treatment. so don't be panic.

Are antibiotics effective in preventing or treating the COVID-19: No, antibiotics do not work against viruses, they only work on bacterial infection. COVID-19 is caused by a virus, so antibiotics should not be used as a prevention or treatment of COVID-19

Is there a vaccine, drug or treatment for COVID-19: Not yet, there is no vaccine or specific antiviral medicine to prevent or treat COVID-19. possible vaccines and some specific drug treatments are under investigation. they are being tested through clinical trials. WHO is coordinating efforts to develop vaccines and medicines to prevent and treat COVID-19. however, most patients recover thanks to supportive care. Scientists estimating that the vaccine for COVID-19 may available in late 2021 or early 2022.
