Another day and another news from china. as the world is suffering and still searching a way to get rid of the Novel corona virus, another threat is on its way from the space, which is also originated in china. Yes!!! you read it right.

A Chinese rocked named Long march 5B which is now out of control, the debris of this rocket are expected to crash into the earth within days. It is one of the largest ever launches to make an uncontrolled re-entry to the earth's orbit. the American space agency is tracking its trajectory very closely, to identify where it is going to land. Experts are saying that there is 70% of chance that it can fall on inhabited area and there is 30% of chance that it can land on ocean. ESA space debris team estimated that it will fall on Saturday(march 8), and nobody can pinpoint exactly, where it is going to land.
This the second launch of the "long march 5B" rocket. Almost a year ago, when the first "long march" rocket was launched it also had almost the same problem. the first rocket also re-entered earths orbit and its debris crashed in the ivory coast of Africa and some part of it has gone into the roof of a person house. experts are fearing that this second rocket can cause more havoc than the first one.

About Long march 5B rocket?
China has launched the rocket "Long march 5B" on April 29, 2021 from the hainan province.,to build its own space station. it carries a Chinese space station main (tianhe core) module. the dimensions of the rocket are, 30m long , 5m wide and weighs almost 21 metric tons. china has planned 10 similar launches to build the space station on the space. the new china space station has all the advanced facilities like internet etc. it also planned to build lunar station with the co-operation of Russia.

The rocket debris may hit the places which are located between 41 degree north - 41 degree south latitude (see above picture). this includes, India, Africa, Australia, North America, South America e.t.c. the debris may fall in the ocean which are located between these continents. there is also a probability that it may burn into ashes right after it enters the earth atmosphere. so there are many possibilities in which it may or may not fall, but china is not at all bothering about this. china said that there is low probability of debris falling into the inhabited area

Why it is hard to track or calculated where/when it is going to fall??
It is very hard to predict rocket debris, asteroids or any kind of debris where these will fall on the earth. there are so many reasons mixed like space weather or drag force of earth, or any other particles coming in its etc. the debris will traveling into the earth at great speed, probably 27000 km/hr may be high or may be less, so anything happen in that moment as so many factors are linked to it. it makes us very difficult to track things or debris.

What went wrong??
We can say that it went wrong in the design phase itself. typically, small rockets leave their upper stages in the orbit so that they will burn into ashes or they will fall into the ocean and nothing happens. but when it comes to the big rockets, they have risk debris and one should be very careful when designing the stages. big space agencies designs their rockets in a way that their core stages does not end up in the orbit. but china doesn't done that, they took the risk, now everybody on the earth are at risk
The U.S space agency is saying that they are tracking the debris of the rocket. but no body can say where this will fall and what impact will it create. we have to wait for some more time until it falls. so lets see..... and hope that nothing terrific happens......
